Desired Skills

5 years of demonstrable work experience in the development of complex software systems using modern processes and methodologies. Understanding of modern systems engineering methods as applied to complex systems a plus. ISSR Rational IT Specialists are expected to operate in a consultative way to help customers succesfully adopt Rational tools and processes. This may include classroom instruction, preparing seminars, or consulting with the customer to solve their particular problems. This will require that you are articulate, well spoken and technically credible in front of a group of technical and/or business people. Extensive travel is often required, sometimes as much as 80%.

This particular position requires a background in J2EE software development, architecture and UML. Experience with Rational tools, especially Rational Software Architect, Rational XDE helpful. Or, a background in software development best practices and RUP in the areas of Iiterative Project Management, Requirements Management. Use Cases and UML. Experience using Rational tools, particularly RequisitePro and ClearQuest very helpful. Background in other parts of the lifecycle including Object Oriented Anlaysis & Design or Testing also helpful.
