Porsche 944 8v n/a dyno pulls
A few pulls in my 8v n/a. Made 125.7whp on the first pull @ 5800rpm. 2nd pull made 137whp @ 7000rpm. -FRWilk chip with stock fuel maps -Full 2.5' SFR exhaust with test pipe -Rebuilt cylinder head with 5 angle valve job -A/C delete As you can see the dyno plot is all over the place. Not sure of the issue, thinking weak valve springs (100k miles on them).

Gingerman NASA Club Race (Porsche)
GTS2 Battle between the National points leader (red 944) and my 74 911. This was my third racing weekend so you can tell my race-craft need a LOT of work. But I got the job done in the end. We drove the tires off the cars in the first few laps which caused the 944 to slow down a lot at the end of the race. He's quicker through 7-8 and I have him in 5-6 - interesting to see the difference between the 911 and 944.

First two shots of the R8 would have been better if I was a few hundred feet closer to the corner exit but oh well. Then you get the loudest supercharger on a stock Mustang, then the Daytona Coupe (fake of course - Superformance), then the best Datsun 240 I've ever seen. Next up is half of the race of our run group (6 or 7 classes). You've got Jody in the Z06, Fred in the uber-914 (3.4l $54,000 Peter Dawes engine, $26,000 GT3RS transmission to start with), Pat in the V8 944, and watch out for Randy in the Stingray who starts towards the back but doesn't stay there long. All four of these guys (and the Panoz) are in different classes, the only class battle in this race is Pat and the yellow 911. What really sucks is that I forgot to clean out my memory card before heading to the track, so the end of the last clip is where I ran out of card. The very next lap Fred tried to pass Randy in the same place as directly before the end of the vid and spun right in front of Jody, great job by both to prevent spending alot of money. Randy very obviously lifted out of it to play with Fred and Jody, and by the end of the race Fred had driven the wheels off the 914 and actually caught back up to Randy and Jody right at the line. It was a photo finish with Randy in the win, Fred rubbing the paint off Randy's bumper, and Fred edging out Jody by a hundredth. Pat did good too, catching and passing the yellow 911. Not only that but Pat posted the 3rd fastest time of the race, ahead of Jody by two tenths, behind Fred by four tenths. But wait, it gets better, Pats best lap was on lap 10 of 12, but after the race we discovered a broken rocker arm. Pat said "oh yeah, the throttle response dropped off about halfway through the race"... so he ran that fast lap on 7 cylinders and pulled out a come-from-behind class victory.
